The Ecology Club is an organization that emphasizes environmental awareness for students who have an interest in the outdoors. Every month we try to have at least one environmental challenge, such as, hiking the Kettle Moraine Ice Age trail, fishing in Lake Michigan for trout and salmon or attending the Sentinel's Outdoor Sports Show. The club is open to all students in grades 9-12. For those students who have performed community service projects, we have an end of the year trip and spend 3-4 days camping. We've camped, canoed and fished The Boundary Waters, Minnesota, Sylvania Wilderness Area, Michigan, and numerous State Parks along the Mississippi River such as Wyalusing, Merrick, and Governor Knowles State Parks. If you know someone who loves the outdoors, maybe they would like to join us and take on monthly environmental challenges.
