PUBLIC PARTICIPATION at MONTHLY BOARD MEETINGS

Open, or Regular, Board meetings are meetings held in public, not public meetings. The Public Forum segment of Board meetings is a 20-minute period of time reserved for parents, staff members, or community members to address the Board. The Board president is responsible to maintain proper order,  adhere to time limits, and to recognize as many speakers as time permits. Personal criticism and/or derogatory remarks directed at Board members or district employees are out of order and will not be tolerated. The Board will listen to all comments, but is not required to engage in active discussion.

Agenda items other than Public Forum are not open to participation by the audience. If you have a comment or question on a particular agenda item outside of Public Forum, please submit a written request to the Board president after the meeting.

A Public Forum form must be completed and given to the Board president or Board secretary before the meeting begins.
